Budget 2016: Loud on spending, silent on the Math, says C Rangarajan, former guv, RBI

One thing that stands out in this Budget is the commitment to maintain fiscal deficit at 3.5% of GDP. This is welcome. But it is not clear how this is consistent with the increase in public spending on several schemes enumerated.
